New Maryland Day
June 5, 2010
New Maryland Day is an annual event where residents will be able to enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, carnival games, Tinsel the Clown and Perley the Magician, as well as demonstrations by the RCMP and the New Maryland Fire Department. The Lion's Club will host their famous BBQ so be sure to come hungry! You won't want to miss this community event so mark your calendars and get ready to have some fun!! This year, it will run from 11am-3pm at the Athletic Park.

Epsilon Golden Games (50 plus)
June 7-13, 2010
This multi-sport and recreational event is open to adults 50 Plus offered in partnership with the City of Fredericton and the Village of New Maryland, Recreation and Leisure Services Department. Click here for the 2010 Registration Form.

The Recreation and Leisure Services Department organizes the New Maryland Open Golf Tournament, which is open to all New Maryland residents and invited guests and will be a great way to meet friends and neighbours. It is being held at the Gage Golf and Curling Club. After the tournament, enjoy a BBQ Steak dinner. Click here for more information.

The Recreation and Leisure Services organizes the Annual Summer Concert Series that takes place every summer at Victoria Hall Park. Grab your lawn chair and enjoy the sweet sounds of summer. It runs every Thursday in July and August from 7-8pm. Click here to see our 2010 lineup.

The Department of Recreation and Leisure Services in the Village of New Maryland invites all residents, families and friends to Movie Madness - a free outdoor movie event in Victoria Hall Park on July 27 and August 17, 2010. All you need is your blanket or lawn chair - popcorn and beverages will be available for purchase. Movies will begin at dusk (approx. 9:00pm). Click here for more information.

The Village of New Maryland Council and Staff will be hosting its annual Community Corn Boil again this summer! More information to come soon.

The Village of New Maryland Council and Staff will be hosting a Blueberry Social again, come out and enjoy this tasty treat and the last summer concert. Location is at Victoria Hall Park. More information to come soon.

The Recreation and Leisure Services Department offers a “Free” pumpkin carving event for all ages. Free pumpkins and carving tools are provided to participants so they can create their jack-o-lantern for Halloween. More information to come soon.

The Recreation Department will be hosting their annual Halloween Party and Haunted Hike on Saturday October 30th, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. Games, treats and surprises for children ages 12 and under at the New Maryland Centre. Tons of spooky fun! The Remembrance Day Service takes place on November 11th, at 10:45 am in Victoria Hall Park. Refreshments to follow inside the New Maryland Centre. More information to come soon.

The Village of New Maryland will hosts its annual Christmas Tree Lighting the first Thursday of December at Victoria Hall at 7:00pm. Bring the whole family and join us for caroling, light refreshments, and enjoy the spirit of the holiday season.

The Recreation and Leisure Serves Department is holding a Wreath Making Seminar between 9am-1pm at the New Maryland Centre. The sessions are held every hour 9am-10am, 10am-11am, 11am-12pm, 12pm-1pm. Refreshments and donations will be accepted for the Lion’s Club Food and Toy Drive. To reserve a spot or for more information call, the Recreation and Leisure Services Department at 451-8508.

The New Maryland Lions Club and community volunteers organize the Toy and Food Drive in the Village of New Maryland. Each year the event grows and becomes more successful. The donations support all needy families in the New Maryland Area including Charters Settlement, Beaverdam and the Rusagonis area. They solicit the local churches for requirements of needy families and the churches deliver the goods to those families. Donations of non-perishable food items and new toys are welcome. This drive takes place the first week of December.

The New Maryland Fire Department also assists in the collection of donations so please bring the children out to enjoy the parade of Fire Department Vehicles, Santa and all of Santa's Helpers, while you assist needy families in the area by donating.

Your donations are greatly appreciated. Drop boxes will also be located at the Esso, Irving and Scholten's in New Maryland, the Beaverdam Convenience and the New Maryland Fire Hall.
