The Transportation Committee strives to provide cost-effective and
responsive municipal services to the public within the policies,
objectives and budgets outlined by Village Council. These services
include:
maintenance of municipal streets and related infrastructure
solid waste and recycling collection.
Membership
The Transportation Committee of the Village
consists of a Chair and Co-chair from Council, four (4) members of
the public (three (3) seats are currently vacant) and four (4)
employees. Appointed staff has a voice but no vote.
All members are
approved by the Mayor of the Village of New Maryland.
Meeting
Schedule
The Transportation and Protective Services Committee holds its regular
monthly meetings on the second Wednesday of each month. Meetings commence at 7:00pm and
are currently being held in the upstairs room of the Fire Hall, 600 New Maryland Highway.
