Village of New Maryland

Judy was born and raised in Nova Scotia. She grew up in a small community called Debert. After completion of grade 12 at CEC, located in Truro, Judy wanted to further her education so she enrolled at UNB and obtained a BPED (REC) followed by a BED (Cert. 5). In 1981 Judy and her spouse relocated to New Maryland so she could establish her own day care centre. For over 28 years "Explore Your World Day Care" has been providing a service to young families in New Maryland and surrounding areas.

From 2000-2004 Judy served as a volunteer on the New Maryland Recreation & Leisure Services Committee. She served a term as a Councillor from 2004-2008. In 2008 she was appointed Deputy Mayor after securing the highest number of votes.

Deputy Mayor Wilson-Shee is currently a board member for the New Brunswick Trails Council, a member of the New Maryland Community Support Group and volunteers at the NMES when needed. Recently she has taken an active role in helping to form the Parish of New Maryland Zoomers (50 Plus Group). She is also a member of the New Maryland Trail Committee, which has been responsible for creating walking trails within the Village.

Judy is married to Patrick Shee and has three adult children.
