J. Scott Sparks, Councillor

  • was first elected in May of 2001 and is currently serving his third term, after being re-elected in 2004 and 2008, as Village Councillor.

  • works for the City of Fredericton's Finance Department as Revenue and Budget Coordinator.

  • is the current Chair of the Village of New Maryland Finance Committee, a post he has held since 2001. He also sits on the Village of New Maryland Transportation and Protective Services Committee.      

  • is a founding member of the New Maryland Community Support Group.

  • is a Board member of the Fredericton Region Solid Waste Commission representing the Village of New Maryland, a position he has held since July 2004.

  • is the Secretary/Treasurer for the Fredericton Region Solid Waste Commission, a position he has held since April 2006.

  • is a member of the City of Fredericton's Ad Hoc Committee on Immigration.

  • is a former high school teacher.
