On behalf of my colleagues on the Village Council and the citizens of New Maryland it is my pleasure to welcome you to the Village of New Maryland website.

The community of New Maryland has a population of approximately 4,500 and is located on the southern border of Fredericton, New Brunswick’s Capital City. While New Maryland has a variety of recreation and leisure programs to offer residents, easy access is also available to Fredericton’s diverse cultural facilities, universities, and other recreational facilities.

The local region is made up of agricultural and forest lands, giving the community a distinctive rural character. The Village is committed to maintaining its rural flavour, and emphasizes the importance of our green space and a positive approach toward preserving our environment.

Our motto is “Progress and Harmony” and our focus as a municipal government is to constantly strive to improve the quality of our services and environment so that the residents of our community can enjoy a superior quality of life. Our Council and staff work diligently to ensure that our community will continue to be a great place to live, visit, and transact business. We strive to maintain an open door policy while enhancing our priority of servicing our community in an efficient and professional manner.
