Electric power for the Village of New Maryland is provided by NB Power. The Village is served by one, centrally located sub-station with three feeder systems. The current feeders have additional capacity and there is provision available for up to three additional feeders. The capacity of the existing system is 28,100 kva and peak demand during the winter of 1996-97 was 15,231 kva, or 54% of capacity
