Please help keep common household batteries, and lithium batteries from technology devices and power tools, from entering the garbage stream.

Fredericton Region Solid Waste has partnered with North American-wide Call2Recycle in an effort to keep batteries out of household garbage and the landfill. Call2Recycle is North America’s first and largest battery stewardship program and is a non-profit organization that collects and recycles batteries at no cost for municipalities, businesses and consumers.

There are 10 locations in the greater Fredericton and Oromocto areas where batteries can be dropped off. Check out their website to find a location nearest you.

You can also bring your batteries to FRSW’s landfill operation each Wednesday (730 am-4 pm) and Saturday (730 am- 3 pm) at its Household Hazardous Waste facility at 1775 Alison Blvd.
