You may have noticed that we raised a flag at Victoria Hall in honor of Kidney Month. There are currently 759 people in New Brunswick receiving dialysis treatment and 54 dialysis patients waiting for a transplant. On average 14 Canadians learn of kidney failure each day with their survival depending on dialysis or a transplant. March 11, 2021, is World Kidney Day and the aim is to raise awareness of kidney health and to reduce the impact of kidney disease and its associated health issues. Please become aware of your own kidney health. The Kidney Foundation of Canada is the only national health charity serving the needs of those with kidney disease. For more information visit
