Summer Day Camp (June 27 - August 26)

The Recreation and Leisure Services Department is excited to once again offer our Day Camp Program for children ages 6-12 this summer. This year, day camp will run for nine weeks (June 26 – August 25), and we’ve introduced four new themes as well as returning camper favorites.  Each week, we will offer a variety of games, group activities, crafts, lots of outdoor play and our much-loved Thursday “Day Trips” that will follow the weekly theme.

This year, all of our Day Camp Counsellors and Supervisor will participate in “Super Hero” Training.  This one-day training offered by Recreation NB combines the elements of the “High Five” training along with Fundamental Movement Skills and Physical Literacy. This is a brand new program offered this year and we will be one of the first municipalities introducing it to our Day Camp staff.  In addition, all staff will be trained in First Aid/CPR and we will conduct our own in-house Day Camp training/orientation as well.  With our certified camper ratio of 6:1, your children will also enjoy personalized attention from our caring Day Camp staff.
