Are you too young to work and too old for camp? Why not consider applying to become a Counsellor in Training (CIT) with the Village’s Recreation & Leisure Services Department? Youth aged 14-16 can volunteer to be a CIT for two weeks at our summer Day Camp program. To apply, complete and submit your CIT Application Form 2022 by Tuesday, May 31st.
Applicants will be invited to attend an evening meet & greet with Day Camp staff on Tuesday, June 7th from 6:30 – 8:00 at the New Maryland Centre. The format of the evening will include a discussion on the benefits of the CIT program, group conversation and ice breakers, and individual interviews with staff. A maximum of SIX CIT’s will be selected by our Day Camp staff. CIT’s will be assigned a Camp Councillor Buddy who will mentor and work with the CIT as they gain first-hand experience working with the staff and leading games and activities. CIT’s will receive a staff t-shirt and will also be invited to attend our Thursday day trips.
