National Day for Truth & Reconciliation – 30 September 2023

Mayor and Council raised the “Every Child Matters” flag in recognition of the children who never came home, as well as the Survivors, their families and communities. The “National Day for Truth & Reconciliation will be observed on Saturday, 30 September 2023.

We encourage residents to wear orange to honour the thousands of Survivors of residential schools, and urge everyone to reflect on the legacy of residential schools in Canada and how we can all work towards reconciliation.
