Construction Project Updates
Baker Brook Culvert Replacement Project: The Contractor is expecting to complete the majority of the Baker Brook project by Friday, 29 September 2023. This will include asphalt paving and guide rails.
Please note: This morning’s traffic delay (20 September 2023) was caused by the milling process at the Baker Brook construction site. This is a Department of Transportation and Infrastructure project. The site Engineer was made aware of the significant back up the process was causing and the Contractor worked to clear traffic.
The Village’s Water Main Installation Project: The major excavation work along the New Maryland Highway is expected to be completed by the middle of next week. The intersection of Daniel Drive and the Highway is planned to be closed on Monday, 25 September 2023, to allow for the final connection of the water main. Work will continue off the Highway for the next few weeks. Some of this work may cause minor delays in traffic movement. Asphalt paving repair along the west side of the Highway is planned to begin on Monday, 09 October 2023.
