Residents are encouraged to prepare for the impacts of this weekends impending storm, beginning Saturday morning through to Sunday afternoon. Hurricane Lee is expected to bring a range of 50-100+ millimeters of rain and wind gusts of up to 60-80 kilometers/per hour, in most regions and 100 kilometers/per hour winds along coastal areas. Ensure you make a household emergency plan, have cleaned and secured outdoor spaces and have an emergency kit prepared.

The impacts of similar storms in the past have caused water-pooling on roads, power outages and localized flooding in low-level prone areas. In the event of a significant power outage, the Fire Hall will be open and residents can come to charge their electronic devices and fill your water containers (please bring your own containers).
